Week 38 Las Pupusas

Welcome back! We reached over 200 likes this week, so thank you so much for everyone who has liked our Facebook page for the blog! If you haven't yet, you can do so right here: http://www.facebook.com/thenewlywedsguidetovegasrestaurants?bookmark_t=page
As we have mentioned before you can find us on now in the LV Informer http://thelasvegasinformer.com/blog-connection.html. We also have other things in store, so you need to check back soon to see what's next ;)

What Teray Says...

Before choosing Las Pupusas this week, we had somewhere else in mind to go on our double date with our favorite engaged couple, Trevor and Chelsie. Thankfully from their advice we heard our original choice wasn't the best, so we decided to go on Yelp and find something good in the area. We normally don't eat over in Henderson, because we live in the southwest, but 1) we need to cover more ground for all of our readers and 2) we were at the grand opening of the Patty's Closet at the Galleria.

Las Pupusas is an El Salvadorian restaurant. I have never had this type of food, so I was pleased to add another category to our blog. From the outside, you would think this place was nothing, just a typical strip mall, quick food, restaurant. There is more room in this place than one would think. You just sit down and your waitress comes to you. A lot of people were also ordering take out, so there was a pretty good crowd in there.

I have to be honest, I cannot remember the names of a lot of what we ate, because we just ordered by the numbers on the menu, but I will try my best. On a side note though, I do recommend if you eat there to sit in front of the big window where they cook the meat so that you can watch the process; it's pretty cool. We didn't, but wish we did.

We ordered a quesadilla for an appetizer. Quite honestly, it was one of the best that I have had in awhile. For appetizers we also from recommendations from the waitress tried the pupusas because how can you go to a restaurant and not try the item that the place is named after? Pupusas are tortilla pockets with meat and cheese inside. They are very good, except a little heavy. You could probably eat two and for a girl that could be your meal.

For our food we all ordered different things. Trevor ordered a burrito which he said was very good. Chelsie ordered something that looked like a taco, which also looked very good. I ordered a plate with plantains, beans, scrambled eggs and cream. It was a different combo, but very delicious. Brett ordered something with rice, beans, veggies, and meat. Again, I don't know what it was and there wasn't an itemized receipt that we got at the end like most places, so I don't know the names. If you do go there, you can figure out what we ordered by the description.

Overall, the food was something different and the prices were very reasonable. For everything combined it was under 45 dollars with tip. I would try there again, but for take out because the portions were a very good size. Overall I rate Las Pupusas 3 out of 5.

What Brett Says...

With a last minute switcheroo we went from going to get sushi to getting Latin American.  We were told by another couple that the sushi place we had chosen made them sick; while we aren't going to shy away from a bad experience getting sick is a whole different story.  We ended up at "Las Pupusas" @641 North Stephanie in Henderson.  We chose that part of town because it was brought to our attention that we weren't reppin' the Henderson area.  And rather then listen to Hendertucky folk whine we conceded.  There are a few Las Pupusas locations around town, I can only comment on the one in Hendertucky.  It is a quicker sit down/take out restaurant in a strip mall around tons of shopping, look at spending around $10 per person, expect to pay more if you feel like drinking.

It's tough doing an in depth review on a place like Las Pupusas.  There isn't much of an experience beyond the food, the physical restaurant is in a strip mall and is really just a bunch of tables next to a take out counter.  On the plus side the girl that was running the counter was also our server, she was good.  We got what we ordered and didn't wait long for anything.  The only downside I saw was that the back by the bathrooms was a little unorganized and there was stuff everywhere.  I don't want to call it dirty but it wasn't clean.

The part that really matters is the food.  What can I say; it was good, not fantastic.  We started with a quesadilla, which was actually better then most quesadillas out there.  We also ordered a couple pupusas

For what it was and nothing more I give "Las Pupusas" a 3.5 out of 5.

Patty's Closet Outfit of the Week
Hi fashion lovers. Thanks to Patty and Juan of Patty's Closet for providing me with my outfit of the week this week. This blue tribal dress combines three of my favorite styles in one. The first being that it ties at the neck to accentuate your shoulders, the second being that it cinches at the waist and comes with this skinny belt. The third of my favorite things about this is that the bottom looks like a wrap skirt so it is extremely flattering and not too short that it can be worn to work! The color is deep blue with black and skinny teal stripes. It is perfect for the upcoming warm weather :) Everyone loves a fabulous dress!! This look is available at the Rainbow location! ♥

If you haven't already you should check out a Patty's Closet near you. There are now 6 Patty's that you can shop at in our area. To find the one that is closest to you, check out their website ilovepattyscloset.com or their Facebook page for new shipment items http://www.facebook.com/PattysClosetLV  They also have a fabulous new accessories store that I visit weekly called Sparkle by Patty's Closet. Def check it out: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sparkle-by-Pattys-Closet/160713480701946

Until next time, cheers to new doors opening....

Week 37 Herbs and Rye

Welcome back readers :) Whether you have been checking out our blog directly through Blogger, through Facebook or through the LV Informer http://thelasvegasinformer.com/blog-connection.html , we appreciate it so much! Stay tuned for more exciting things to come that I can't wait to tell you guys about!!! What Teray Says...

For this week's date night, we celebrated Valentine's Day on Saturday and decided to double dip and review it for the blog! Brett all day was saying he was surprising me with a place I have been dying to go, but I couldn't figure it out. I was secretly hoping it was Herbs and Rye, and to my luck it was! I heard about Herbs and Rye awhile back from my good friend Aranaza Jimenez and from Patty and Juan Barba. More and more people continued to tell us about it, so I figured with this many suggestions, it would be great!

Herbs and Rye is located on W. Sahara. They are open everyday except Sunday and have happy hour twice 5-8 and then later on in the evening. We were there for the 5-8 one. Walking in I knew right away I was going to like this place. It is dimly lit with red and black tones. There is leather and beautiful bar with crystal chandeliers everywhere. It reminds me of a cross between Firefly in Summerlin and Cathouse.

While waiting to be seated we were escorted to the bar and the bartender explained the concept behind the drinks. Herbs and Rye has many speciality drinks and they are organized by decades. How awesome is that? I personally did not know what any of them were, so I let Brett help me. We were not at the bar long before we were seated. The name of the drink that I ordered was the Jack Rose and Brett ordered the house red beer. I could not tell you what was in my drink, all I know was that it was delicious.

For an appetizer we ordered the bruschetta. I was expecting a little bit, but the portion was huge and even better, it was on a flat bread. This is an appetizer that could have easily been split with four people at least. I have to say it may have been some of the best bruschetta that I have ever had; the fact that it was flat bread really added to the flavor.

We took awhile to decide what we wanted to order but definitely wanted to take advantage of the half off prices during happy hour. Not everything is half off, but so many things that are things that we would order are. Brett ordered the Bone in Kansas City Strip (12 oz) and I ordered the Filet Mignon (9 oz). Because they were half off, Brett's only costed $14.50 and mine was $17, not bad for amazing steaks. I did not taste Brett's like I normally do, but I can tell you that mine was cooked to perfection. The meat was extremely tender and flavorful. We ordered the sides of asparagus and macaroni cheese which also were both fantastic, plus a balanced meal, carb and veggie. :)

For one of the first times ever, we were so stuffed from the food that we did not take advantage of dessert. We even had left overs to bring home and I ate half of my filet the next day for lunch. The bill with tip came under $100 dollars. For all that food and the drinks, it was a steal!!!

As for the service, it was beyond perfect. Our waiter was friendly, informative, and attentive, but not annoying. In a nutshell, the service was top notch. I without a doubt will go back to Herbs and Rye and when there are visitors in town, definitely bring them there. Easy rating here: 5 out of 5 all the way!

What Brett Says...
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...well we didn't get fooled twice so it doesn't matter.  Last time Teray and I attempted to eat at "Herbs and Rye" we were mislead by Las Vegas Weekly.  They said that "Herbs and Rye" was a place to go on Sundays, we discovered that to be a horrible suggestion considering they are not open on Sundays (they will be soon though).  This time we checked the website, called, and chose to go on a Saturday.  "Herbs and Rye" is on Sahara at Valley View, not in a special neighborhood, and from the outside it looks like there is a lot to be desired.  Aside from all this two things kept driving us to check it out; 1. We got tired of having everyone we know recommend it, now we can just say we have been there. 2. Most of the menu is 50%off from 5pm-8pm everyday.  Because of our work schedules we decided to count this as our Valentine's dinner.

I have to jump right in and say that of all the places we have been this place was the coolest as far as vibe.  You feel like you are walking into a Chicago basement restaurant where you would expect to see Capone.  The entire place fits the mold; you even feel like you are below ground (which you aren't).  Some of the staff even wears vests with bow ties.  What I think does it for them is that none of it is done cheesy, you kinda feel like it just got missed by modernization.  They even take it a step further and had a Rat Pack movie on the televisions.  The music was legit.  Really, every aspect of "Herbs and Rye" was put together and just does it.  I have mentioned other places that transform once you walk in, this is the epitome of all that I keep saying.  I think I am so about it because I feel like I should have been alive during this era.  Service was also stellar, the hostess sat us at the bar while they were getting our table together.  The bartender was friendly and helpful...their drink menu is intense.  They have all their specialty drinks separated by era, it is actually pretty cool.  When we were finally sat our server was amazing, he went over the menu and told us all about the 50% off happy hour.  Throughout the entire meal he made conversation and made sure we were covered.  I know I usually break things down more but this place the service and the atmosphere really do go hand in hand.  The other thing that added to the scene was Gina Carano; for those of you who have no idea who she is just Google her for the details.  The cliff notes: attractive brunette who just so happens to be the best female MMA fighter, former American Gladiator, and now staring in the new movie "Haywire."

The menu is a little intimidating; I'm talking to the point of having a 120oz steak that goes for $320, however it is only $160 during happy hour...plus they will pay you $200 if you actually finish it.  Trying to decide what you want is a challenge, they have an extensive menu and all of it sounds delicious.  We decide to get started with some drinks.  Teray ordered a Jack Rose with was pretty good, the only problem is that it was pretty.  I would have felt weird sipping it, so I stuck with the house red lager.  Both drinks were good, if they represent the remainder of the drink menu I would say have a DD lined up.  Since we aren't usually in a huge rush we took our time, ordering the bruschetta.  Most of the time you would get a few pieces of toast with tomato and cheese but not her, her you get a pizza sized flat bread that has an amazing blend of tomatoes, cheeses, and other flavors.  Their bruschetta should be the poster child of how bruschetta should be.  As for the entrees they set it up so you order your meats and sides separately.  We decided to get two sides: truffle mac & cheese and asparagus, they were both good...but you don't care about sides.  I ordered the 12oz Kansas City Bone In Strip.  I was impressed, I use to eat quite a bit of steak between 9 Steakhouse and many places I have worked.  The steak was perfectly cooked, if you know the palm trick to cooking steaks it was dead on.  Color looked amazing, and the juice was flowing.  If all their steaks taste this good then I would be willing to try out one of their steak challenges.  I would go here for steak before I go anywhere else, except maybe 9...and that isn't much of a decision since "Herbs and Rye" is 5 times cheaper.  It was $90 out the door tip and all.

The wrap up:
I will be back.  I would like to go here monthly.  I plan on taking friends and family here.  This is officially my new favorite restaurant in Vegas, sorry Firefly.  If you trust what we say at all then you have to go and try it.  Rating of 6 out of 5.
Patty's Closet Outfit of the Week
Thanks to Patty and Juan of Patty's Closet for providing me with my outfit of the week this week. I normally don't go for this style of a dress, but because it was Valentine's Day, I wanted to look sassy.  This dress is perfect for a night on the town or a festive dinner. It is a very form fitting dress, but it has enough stretch that it probably would fit many body types. I love that it looks like a shirt and a skirt. The top dips into a low v-neck and the sleeves are right between sleeveless and short sleeves. Because it is ruched on the sides you can choose the length you want to wear the lower portion of the dress. It is long enough to hit your knees if you wanted it to. This dress is available at the Rainbow location! Also my earrings are long circles that hit my collar bone in gunmetal and black. Those are available at Sparkle by Patty's Closet.

If you haven't already you need to check out Patty's Closet website: ilovepattyscloset.com and their Facebook for the latest details on store openings and the newest merchandise posted: http://www.facebook.com/PattysClosetLV Also check out their newest store, Sparkle, which is all gorgeous accessories, totally Patty's style: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sparkle-by-Pattys-Closet/160713480701946

Fantastic news Patty's Closet lovers! The newest store opened at the Galleria in Henderson. The address is  605 Mall Ring Circle #120 Henderson, NV 89015. I went to the opening yesterday and it is awesome; you def. must add it to your must stop Patty's runs!!

Until next time, cheers to new doors opening and big changes....

Week 36 Buzz BBQ

Welcome back favorite followers! Thanks for checking out the blog again this week...we are posting it a little bit later than we normally do, but we both have been swamped with work and school this week, so we are finally caught up! Anyway, as most of you have read we are now on the LV Informer, so http://thelasvegasinformer.com/ is another place not only where you can access our blog, but it is awesome Vegas based paper.

As I say every week if you could take a minute and like our Facebook page, that would be awesome, because we are almost at 200 likes! http://www.facebook.com/thenewlywedsguidetovegasrestaurants?bookmark_t=page

What Teray Says...
This week we went to Buzz BBQ over on Tropicana and Grand Canyon. I think there is another one in the northwest, so if you live closer to there you can Google the location. Buzz BBQ has both a restaurant and a bar area. The restaurant area is really big and even has a dance floor.

I know Brett is going to comment on that it took awhile for us to get seated even though there were few people in the place. The person working was helping someone with a take out order though, so it is not like we were being ignored.

We sat down and a little bit of time passed before we were brought our menus, but again, if it is not super long, I don't mind waiting because I enjoy the time with Brett and relaxing. Brett is a stickler for good service, so again he probably will comment on that.

We didn't order a appetizer, we went right into the food because the portions looked big and you got sides with it. I ordered the 2 meat combo and Brett ordered the 3 meat combo. In mine I got sausage and pulled pork, the sides I ordered were french fries and macaroni and cheese. Brett ordered the beef brisket, the sausage, and pulled pork. He got macaroni and cheese too as his side and sweet potato fries.

Brett's food, 3 meat combo

Teray's food, 2 meat combo

Brett's sides

As for my food, my food it was some of the best BBQ by far that I have ever had. The pulled pork was so tender, and the sausage had the perfect amount of spice. The macaroni and cheese was something a comfort type of mac and cheese, and the french fries tasted like Burger King's which are my favorite.  Brett got the same thing as me, but I tasted his brisket (first time ever) and it was delicious! Our meal also came with rolls.

For dessert we ordered cobbler with ice cream. Brett got blackberry and I got apple cobbler. This dessert was the perfect amount of sweat and fruity. After all of this amazing food, I was definitely full!

I feel as though this would be a fun place to go with a crowd or for guys to go with their friends and have beers and BBQ. I rate Buzz BBQ 5 out of 5, and definitely recommend it because you get so much food for your money!

What Brett Says...
Due to some technical difficulties Teray and I had to do some last second switches for this weeks selection.  We were originally going to try a kosher vegan restaurant but they didn't update their info on the site we looked at.  As our back up we went to "Buzz BBQ," with a Restaurant.com certificate.  They are located on the north side of Tropicana just west of Grand Canyon.  I had never seen or heard of Buzz BBQ until 15 minutes before we went.  I wasn't sure what to expect but when I saw that it was in a strip mall I was thinking more grab and go style then sit down.  Not that we could complain beings it was a last second switch.  As long as he food was legit I wasn't going to be too picky, I don't get a ton of good BBQ out here.

When you walk in it is really odd, it looked like a mom and pop BBQ place in the South.  They had murals painted on the walls, "cowboy" stuff all around the restaurant, and there chairs/tables were the kind you would expect to see in a convention hall.  The tables are all pretty spread out, so you aren't on top of other people.  They also had a stage and a dance floor, not sure if it actually gets used.  The bar area is completely segregated from the dining area.  When we went there were only a handful of other groups.  I liked the decor, it was cowboy cheesy in some areas but it worked.  They also had older country playing over the speakers, they only thing that could have made it better would be a poker game fight, swinging half doors and someone getting thrown through a window.  The thing that threw me for the biggest loop, the first person to talk to us had a strong Caribbean accent...definitely unexpected.

When the food came out we were pretty speechless, there was a ton of food...luckily we were starving.  Teray ordered the two meat meal and I ordered the three meat meal, both came with two sides and rolls.  I tried to order the four meat meal but I was talked out of it.  The server said the table behind us, with 5 people, ordered the three meat meal for the whole table.  So I went with his suggestion, I finished it but I was glad I didn't go four.  I had sausage, brisket, and ribs with mac&cheese and sweet potato fries.  If it was a normal night we could have easily split my meal.  I was blown away by how good it all was, and how fast.  They smoked it to perfection.  The ribs were falling off the bone and everything was filled with flavor.  The mac&cheese was awesome.  To finish everything off we each ordered a cobbler, mine was blackberry a la mode.  I haven't had cobbler in a long time, it was everything I remember and more.  I think I can honestly say this cobbler may ruin all future cobblers.

The icing on the cake was that the owner checked on us and apologized for the delay at the beginning, we didn't have to say anything it just happened.  The fact that the server made a point to let him know that things were a bit bumpy was nice.  It shows that there is pride and customer service out there.  I would like to go here to watch football all day and just gorge.  I would also consider getting take out for a party...if I was too lazy to actually BBQ.

The easiest 5 out 5 yet.

Patty's Closet Outfit of the Week
Thanks to Patty, Juan, and Jose of Patty's Closet for providing me with the outfit of the week this week!! I am in love with this tribal mini dress. The patterns on it are so bold and the colors are perfect for spring and summer. Due to the weather, and because I am tall, I decided to wear this as a top for right now and paired it with some jeggings. The belt that I have on is black leather and it has a sailor anchor in gold in the middle of it. This dress is not only fantastic because it is one of spring's hottest trends with the tribal print, but it can double as a top!!! This outfit is available at the Rainbow location!

If you haven't already you need to stop by a Patty's Closet asap. You can find their locations on their website: ilovepattyscloset.com & check out their Facebook for all the latest looks at each store (they all have different things) http://www.facebook.com/PattysClosetLV

So great news Patty's Closet lovers, not only did they just open their accessories store called Sparkle by Patty's Closet (where the Blue Diamond Patty's used to be) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sparkle-by-Pattys-Closet/160713480701946 but they are opening another Patty's Closet very soon by the Galleria Mall!! How exciting! Can't wait to go to the opening!

What Teray Says...

This week I was really in the mood for tapas and I have heard fabulous things about Barcelona, I used some of my restaurant.com credit to buy a certificate there. Barcelona Tapas is located on Southern Highlands Pkwy in Southern Highlands. The location has many great restaurants that we have frequented, but there are still some we want to try. It is my goal to go to all of them. :)

Barcelona Tapas is a small place, but big enough that you could have a great gathering! There is a bar area, a lounge area, booths and tables. Brett and I sat at a booth in the back. We always like to have a romantic vibe when we go, plus we don't like to be right in the middle of things while we take pictures of the food.

We started by ordering a pitcher of mojitos. Normally when we get tapas we go with sangria, but being we were told the mojitos were fabulous and didn't want sangria again like last week, we went with original mojitos. The size of the pitcher you get is big! It serves 5 glasses= 3.5 for Brett and 1.5 for me! HAHA.

In addition to getting our mojitos right away, we also got some bread with garlic butter and some sort of dip, don't know what it was, but it was great! The bread was fresh right out of the oven.

As for the tapas, we each chose a few. The first one I chose was the stuffed dates of course. I always get them at Firefly and was so excited that Barcelona had them as well. In the order you got five of them. The bacon was perfectly crispy and the blue cheese that was in the bowl was also awesome in the sauce.

The next one Brett chose was the Escargot. I didn't remember having this before now, but according to Brett I have tried that already. You amount that you got was pretty good for sharing it with two people. They were very fresh and again, the sauce that they were in wasn't too rich, which made it great for dipping the bread in.

Brett and I then decided to order the meatballs (his choice) and the mac and cheese (my choice). The meatballs, which you got 5 of were covered in mozzarella cheese and sauce. It may be because I am partial to Italian cooked meatballs, but they weren't my favorite; I would have preferred something else, just because to me they were a little plain.

The mac and cheese on the other hand was delicious! I am a huge fan of mac and cheese that is like a little bit crispy on the side when it's baked, but perfectly cheesy in the middle, and that is exactly what this was. I think I could have eaten a huge size portion all alone.

The last tapa we ordered was the stuffed shrimp. Whenever I go for tapas I always choose a lot of the seafood ones. I always find that they taste great because they are fresh and the types of sauces and seasonings they use when cooking them. There were 4 stuffed shrimps, so we got to split them equally. I would recommend this if you go there.

Now, onto my favorite part of the meal besides the company and the mac and cheese...dessert. For dessert we chose cinnamon apple crepes with ice cream. Wow, was this beyond good! There was so much of it and I felt bad because I think I ate most of the ice cream not leaving much for Brett. I haven't had a crepe in  years, so I think that made it even better.

Overall, I really loved Barcelona. I heard from a little birdy that they may be opening one in the southwest, so I am pretty stoked. The service and atmosphere was fun, perfect for a Saturday night. I would love to go there for happy hour too with my girls which is supposedly everyday from 4-7. I rate Barcelona 4.5 out of 5 and will absolutely be back!

What Brett Says...

This week we went to "Barcelona Tapas and Bar," which is down in Southern Highlands.  I think it is the last of the restaurants in the strip mall we keep going to.  I wasn't sure going in how biased I would be considering Firefly was my first tapas experience and quickly became my favorite restaurant.  But I was able to put my bias aside and give Barcelona a go.  For those of you unfamiliar with "tapas" and no unfortunately it is not topless women (everytime I say we are going to a tapas place one person asks how Teray feels about being around topless girls).  Tapas are a hispanicTeray is not a fan of being around topless women...if she was the steakhouse at Treasures would have already been reviewed.  But back to the topic at hand; Teray and I are both pretty big fans of tapas.  We had our rehearsal dinner at Firefly, 18ppl and all you can eat tapas with pitchers of sangrias is never a bad time.

Pulling up there was no reason to believe we were in for anything special...just another strip mall restaurant.  Once you walk through the door you are immediately convinced you are in for something special.  Barcelona was poppin', they had a fun crowd at the bar and the restaurant looked steady.  We were immediately sat at a booth towards the back of the restaurant.  The environment was fun, the decor was modern hispanic chic, and it wasn't overwhelming in any way.  Just based on how it was presenting so far it seemed like a place we could go for a night out and have a pretty good time.  I wouldn't be surprised if it was a good place to meet single Las Vegas locals, but I wouldn't know anything about that.

Next it is time to cover service.  I would have to sum it up as good but definitely not anything to remember.  I don't remember our servers name, a middle aged hispanic man.  He was very to the point, not social, and abrupt.  While he was those things he also met all our needs, had suggestions, and made sure we were never waiting on anything.  We always had waters and our mojito glasses were never empty, he also seemed to do a good job of spacing out our tapas so they didn't all come at once.  Just don't go in expecting a social experience with your server, but you will be taken care of.

The most important part of any meal is of course the food.  The nice thing about tapas is the selection and variety you get to experience; since we are doing all this for you, the reader, we obviously had to order a nice selection.  Teray listed all the tapas...and took pictures, so I am not going to do all that.  I was absolutely impressed by the tapas we ordered; my Firefly bias was quickly wiped away.  These tapas were on par with the great, the stuffed dates were amazing.  Food alone this place is worth going.  We opted to get a pitcher of mojito, we had sangria the day before.  They were legit original mojitos; not premixed from the bottle.  There were crushed mint leaves and limes in the pitcher.  They were awesome, next time I am going to trick Teray into being the DD and I will have a pitcher to myself.

I think it is obvious that I enjoyed Barcelona Tapas...I'm pretty sure Teray did too.  I would go for the bar scene and I would absolutely go for the food.  I recommend this place for all gatherings except business meetings...unless you work for a casual company that lets alcohol flow.

I am giving them a 4 out of 5, the service was a little shaky for a 5 out of 5.

Patty's Closet Outfit of the Week
Of course, thanks to Patty and Juan of Patty's Closet for providing me with my outfit of the week this week. They are so supportive of this blog and I cannot thank them enough. xo.

Take a look at my outfit of the week provided by Patty's Closet Fashion Boutique. This green blazer is such a statement piece (it was love at first sight for me).  It is meant to be a more fitted blazer, which is more flattering anyway. The sleeves are quarter sleeved length and ruched on the inside to add some flair. It is an extremely flattering length. Green is such a bold, fun color that it amps up any outfit. I chose to pair this with a Patty's Closet mini (from the Blue Diamond store last season- or as I like to say vintage Patty's :) and a basic white flowy tee! I threw on some necklaces, of course from Patty's and I had the perfect dressy, casual outfit! You can find this awesome blazer at the Rainbow location

If you haven't already you need to check out one of the Patty's Closets in Vegas (Rainbow & Town Square), Summerlin, the Northwest, or Henderson. I personally love something different about all of them! Plus the people that own and work at all of them are beyond fabulous! It is such an experience when you go into a Patty's, it is really an outing. You can find what location is closest to you by visiting their website: http://ilovepattyscloset.com/

Also, if you haven't already, you need to obviously like them on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/PattysClosetLV They put up pictures of their new shipments which arrive every Tuesday and Friday. Plus, with spring around the corner, you know you are going to want a new wardrobe.

Sparkle

So if you haven't heard already (where have you been?!--just kidding). Patty just opened Sparkle by Patty's Closet! It is an all accessories store and like heaven on earth for ladies (and for guys who need a fabulous gift for their gals). This week-end they opened there doors to this beautiful jewelry boutique. Sparkle is just like Patty's where they have a few of each piece, but everything is so unique, you are not going to find it at other stores.

The choices of necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, bag, iPhone cases, etc. was taking my breath away. Anything you could ever want in an accessory is within Sparkle. The decor is a beautiful white so that the bling of everything is the centerpiece. The opening was packed and I know everyone I know that went and have talked to is raving on and on. I have already worn all of the pieces I bought and cannot wait to go back and get more.

Sparkle is where the Blue Diamond Patty's used to be; they just transitioned it into a Sparkle. Like I said, Sparkle is every girls dream. It is BEYOND amazing. As Rachel Zoe says..."I die. I die. " Check out pictures from the opening and get the exact address here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sparkle-by-Pattys-Closet/160713480701946

Until next time, cheers to making wishes, and them coming true.
